Palm Springs artist Rosenberg is among the newest batch of painters commissioned to produce works for a unique Sonoma Valley winery program that has recognized “some of the world’s most notable contemporary artists.”

His abstract work, Effervescence, was used as the label for the newly-released 2017 Aleatico Rosé́  of Imagery Estate Winery (sister winery to Benziger) in Glenn Ellen, Ca. The label is part of the winery’s Imagery Artistry Series. Since its inception, the program has grown to nearl...

Art Palm Springs • Tom Ross Gallery

Santa Fe had been good to me both as a gallery owner and artist. Yet, I was ready for a change and felt that my large abstract acrylic pieces painted on acrylic panels would be a good fit for the Palm Springs’ Mid-Century Modern aesthetic.

I attribute much influence of the “look” of my art as a result of having grown up in a mid century home in Albuquerque NM. I have fond memories recalling the expanse of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that provided an un...

Interwaving 2016 • 24 in. x 24 in. • Acrylic paint on acrylic panel

I originally  was going to title this latest 24" x 24" "Interweaving" but upon typing the word I misspelled it as "Interwaving". It is hard to look at this painting and not see waves, waves not only of the ocean, but also energetic waves that underly our visual reality. This painting is one of many of my pieces that takes on different meaning in different orientations. As I painted it, I continued to rotate, its position wh...

Beginning 2016 • 36 in. x 36 in. • Acrylic paint on acrylic panel

Beginning is the first painting that I have finished since returning to Santa Fe after my winter stay in Miami. The transition returning here was more difficult than I anticipated. I was coming back to a new way of life, no longer a gallery owner, what future lay ahead of me unknown. After finishing this painting, the inner light of the central almond like shape suggested to me a new but yet to be known life emerging. A new beginn...

Tapestry is my last series of paintings that I completed in Miami. Having been away from my hometown of Santa Fe for nearly four months, I was beginning to feel the calling of the mountains and hills but most importantly I was eagerly looking forward to reconnecting with my good friends. Tapestry is the anticipation of my return to Santa Fe and the tapestry of my life here.

Wynwood Exhibition Center presents Unforeseen a solo exhibition by Santa Fe based artist Rosenberg. On view April 7th to May 7th • 297 NW 23rd St.

This exhibition features the artist’s most recent work, including the thirty feet long multi-panel piece comprised of twelve paintings “Unforeseen”. This series of abstract compositions are rich in patterns, detail and tonal variations. A continuum of parts, interdependent and interacting languages that create a whole, conforming a sin...

What started out as a single 30 in. x 30 in. painting has slowly revealed itself to be a series of linked contiguous abstract images - how long of a series remains to be discovered. As the series proceeds the color combinations slowly transition from one palette into another while the connotation of imagery also morphs and changes, suggesting an evolution of locations: underwater, jungle, sky... All these paintings giving no clear indicator of what lies ahead.

Unforeseen...
